The latest Star Wars movie has just been released in the past two days, and the major online communities in China have set off another Star Wars craze. As the final work of the new trilogy, it does bring a lot of feelings and new expectations to fans. Related Star Wars Cosplay Costume.

Since the launch of the new Star Wars trilogy, its domestic influence has been decreasing year by year. As of now, the peak of the Baidu index in the new trilogy of Star Wars is during the release of "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" in early 2016, after which the index fell steeply. In addition, the domestic box office score of "Star Wars 7" was 826 million yuan, not in the top ten; the domestic box office of "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" released in 2018 was 267 million. As for "Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker" which is currently being screened, the box office screened in advance on December 18 is 13.3 million, which is also less than the premiere of Midnight in 2016 Star Wars 7. In addition to the word-of-mouth ratings and box office trends of platforms such as Douban and Cat's Eye, Star Wars 9 is likely to be even better than Star Wars 8.

The reality is, why do so many Chinese simply dislike Star Wars?

First of all, it is the problem of temporal faults of domestic audiences.

The old Star Wars fans in China are roughly divided into two important nodes. One is to access the Star Wars trilogy through videotapes and VCDs in the 1990s, and the other is to access the prequel trilogy through the theater or pirated around the millennium. . For example, when I first came into contact with Star Wars in early 1999, the school organized everyone to go to the cinema to watch "Star Wars Episode 1: The Threat of Ghosts"; Uncle Qu was watching "Star Wars 2: The Empire Strikes Back" in the video hall. The movie viewing experience is endless.

For the Chinese, Star Wars is just a movie.

On the one hand, there is no sentimental bonus for the young Chinese audience, on the other hand, it is too much mischief and disappointment for the old fans to cause too many new stars in the domestic box office.

Unlike the American science fiction enlightenment of childhood, Chinese people who live and grow in completely different social backgrounds and cultural spirits, we also have works by Liu Cixin, Wang Jinkang, Liu Wenyang and others. More importantly, compared with this space opera that has affected Americans for more than 40 years, the Chinese people have more and more romantic legends in the struggle and progress in reality since the late 1970s.
